Help with Toadstool

My toadstool has yellow spots and partially opens. I have had it for about 2.5 weeks and it did well for the first week and then started to not open as often. It also appears to be shedding some kind of film.

Don't know about the spots, but toadstools will shed their skin occasionally. Sounds like it may be a little stressed, possibly from acclimation; they are very sensitive to changes in their surroundings, although they usually settle in after awhile.

Thanks Mariner, I did my first water change Friday night, so maybe that made him a little uneasy.

also the spots could be from handling. they kind of bruise some time. also make sure that it has water flowing on it pretty good. that usually keeps it clean and its polyps extended
