Help with Tunze 9010

Hello Roger, thanks for the help, the Canadian wholesaler is sending me a new part.

But... I just noticed something... the tube/hose piece that is connected to the air screw and the pump has a crack in it. I removed it and just ran a air hose from the thumbscrew to the pump... I noticed that the air intake on the unit is far superior, still no foam, but I cleaned it so it may take a few days to stabilize. What is that piece I removed, just a noise muffler? It is a little noisier, but I don't care. Please advise... if it is needed, I will either have to make one or contact the Canadian wholesaler again.

Much appreciate your comments, thanks.

Yes, it is called a silencer and it is just that, a muffler to silence the air intake. If it was cracked it would probably take in some water and reduce the air flow.

thanks, I will let it run without, and when I get the new venturi I will replace that part, hopefully all will be good.

Thanks again.
