help with wavebox

Ok, I have an all-Glass 210 with overflows, put the wavebox in the back right corner. It is not performing like all of these videos i've seen, any tips?

You need to adjust the on/off speed of the pump so that it produces the wave - it doesn't produce the effect at any other frequency. Just turn the knob to the lowest setting, and then increase the speed very slowly. At some point, you'll see the effect start and eventually it'll produce the maximum effect when it's right at the resonant frequency. Beyond that point, the wave effect will drop off again.

is the maximum affect when the red and green light are blinking the most, and also could the overflow box be in the way

Their is no indicator , when you set it right it makes a wave and only that one setting will do it, it varies with every tank by size and rock work, you just have to tune it until you hit it just right. I would put it to the side of the overflow and you can't have a bunch of rocks in the way, it should be aimed across the longest section of the tank.

Roger:

Is there ever a situation that the wavebox can not "hit" the required resonant frequency due to tank dimensions, rockwork etc..

If a tank were longer than say 10ft an extension set on inverse would be required. I also wouldn't suggest it for an aquarium smaller than 3ft though 30" is supposed to be the minimum, that seems like we get too close to the limit and manufacturing differences could make or break the operation.

I am not sure I understand. The wave does generate additional strain on the seams of the tank.
