help with

This weekend I plan on making a sump/fuge out of an old 29 gallon(length 30 inches, height 18 1/4 inches, width 18 1/2 inches). I have a couple of questions with the baffles and other things. Hope someone can help me out. I would like to have three compartments. One I would like for the sump another for the fuge and then last for the return pump and maybe something else to put in that space with the pump. Does it really matter as to if the water goes thru the sump or fuge first? What type of baffles should I use as in glass/acrylic? How thick should the glass/acrylic be? How tall should each baffle be or does that matter as to how much water I would like in the tank and also if for some reason my overflow stopped working? How high should the middle baffle be off of the tank bottom? I am pretty sure I have correct is the teeth for the baffles should be around maybe half a inch? Well hope someone out there can help me out alittle....
