Now im very new to fish keeping and im kinda freaked out, i just got a Naso tang 2 days ago along with a Yellow tang, i have live rock and some corals and an anemone, i think my naso tang has Ich but i dont really know, i tried to take some good pics but this was the best i could get for now, i havent noticed any scratching on any surfaces or anything.

Any help would be much appreciated.

there are some better pics please help me, what do i need to do?

Could be ich, could be parasitic copepods, or anchor worms. I have a Powder brown tang, that went through 7 weeks of hypo. While in hypo a bunch of white worms showed up on him, initially as white spots, then little white worms came off it. Upon moving the tang to the display, it had the same thing. looks similar to your pics... Every 2 -3 weeks now the tang goes through a cyle of little white worms wiggling out of it's skin. on both sides.. Your could be ich, but, there's so many things that look like ich and are immune to ich treatments. Given the size of tank, I would definately get it to someone that can give it a proper home and the best treatment possible to survive what ever it has.

do i need to worry about the yellow tang getting it even though ill be taking out the naso tomorrow? The ich was noticeable today only

Tangs are known for ich. Make sure you keep feeding and get a uv steralizer. Limit the stress on them as much as possible.

if it is ich then all the fish in the tank have it and will need to be treated.

and I also agree a 55 gal is way to small for a naso (they will need at least 200 gal. tank)however I think you will be fine with the yellow.

so when i looked at him this morning he seemed to have only a few of those white spots on him, from what ive read ich will fall off after about a week.
