when i was done cleaning my skimmer, i overtightened it and cracked the inlet to the water. since its a berlin and this part isn't replaceable (the black piece where the ventri is attached to) i either have to get a new skimmer or if this is possiable fix it. i was thinking some type of weld-on or something???
can someone help me out here? does anyone have an extra skimmer laying around?

You can just layer PLUMBERS GOOP on the crack. It comes in a tube from Home Depot or Lowes.

I had one that striped out before, if the crack is in the threaded area you may be able to repair it the same way. I took a ââ"šÂ¬Ã‹Å“I thinkââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ 1 inch diameter hose and used two hose clamps to attach the inlet to the skimmer it worked perfect an was easily removed to access the venturi.

this is a hang on skimmer so it has to be SEALED. will these methods seal it?

Perfectly, mine was a hang on.

I fixed a skimmer using all glass brand silicone, the same stuff used to seal tanks. It worked great on one of my skimmers that had a leak.
