I seen some red bugs in one of my systems. after reading about interceptor most people have a outbreak of AEFW. I have not seen any of them but who knows. going to do a intank treatment.

should I treat the red bugs first then the flat worms? how far apart?

does interceptor or Levamisole kill snails?

I have both interceptor and Levamisole

does it kill snails? I had some snail breed in my tank and there are alot of them I don't know if I should suck out as many as i can or if they will be ok to leave in?

Interceptor didn't kill my snails. It will kill redbugs, shrimp, crabs, and pods. I have never tried Levamisole, so I can't comment on that. I would treat with interceptor first, then monitor the tank for flatworms. Don't do Levamisole unless a aefw infestation is found.

If you know you have redbugs, then treat with interceptor. Watch your tank as Finland said. The only way you could cause an outbreak of flatworms is if they are already in the tank and the interceptor treatment throws things off for a while allowing the AEFW population to expand. I have not kept up on the thread around in tank lavamasol treatment but saw a few people that lost whole tanks to this as it is very harsh on the corals. Most people still tend to take corals out of the tank and QT them with weekly dips for 4-6 weeks or so making sure to get every last bit of acro out of the display.

Some how I lost my interceptor so had to order more will start with that... as far as the flat worms I will keep my fingers crossed that I don't have them too... if I have to do the lavamisole I am not sure I know what a acro is from the others to put them in another tank. I have a 40 gallon breeder that I can use. just want to make sure I get them all out.

i have battled red bugs many times and interceptor has worked for me every time. it will kill crabs and other inverts. didn't harm my snails.
