REEF POSER
Here we go switching over to bigger tank this weekend and need some help so I dont kill any of my livestock. Currently I have a well established 120 gal and going to a 240 gal cube and think I have a plan but want to make sure its the right plan. Was going to put live stock in rubbermaid with existing water. Will already have 120 gal of new saltwater in new tank prior to this weekend with powerhead and heaters. Remove all rock from DT and sump and put into new tank and then in with 120+ of old tank water and then in with the livestock. The only change is that I have a sand bed now and was thinking of going to starboard bottom on new tank. Already have starboard cut into 2 pieces 2'x4' what effects will it have on my system if I dont use sand bed and do I need to silicone seems of starboard so waste doesnt get under it.Should I put sand in sump surronded by liverock to keep biological filter in tact sump is huge and have plenty of room for this. Flow really isnt an issue I have 3 korilia 1050s and the return pump is a reeflow blackfin 6000gph with penductors. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
