my lobster molted the other day and i see he has lost one of his big claws arm and all does anyone know if it will regenerate or not let me know thanks

It will regen, make sure he gets some food so he has enough energy to make a new one.

i thought that they were supposed to loose that? i thought that was why they molted, to grow bigger claws and bodies

Yes, but sometimes the claws or other appendages get stuck in the molt or for any other reason get damaged.
Which then they have to regrow next molt.
Sometimes it will take a couple molts to get a fully functional, undeformed appendage back.

I have a lobster, and have had them in the past. Depending on his size he should grow one back in 2+ molts. I had 2 that lost an arm, and one took 2 molts and one took 4. Make sure he has a nice diet and no one picks on him too bad. A nice hiding place would be good, and make sure his traces are up to par. Other than that, its a time thing.
