my anenome is steaming help



how do i help it

it looks like steam is coming off it

and my tank is all cloudy on the side

If it is coming out of its mouth it is spawning, is it white?
It will puff a few seconds and stop, then repeat several times.

no its all shrunk and the tenticles are steaming

It still may be spawning it just may look like the anemone is covered in smoke but it's just coming from itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s mouth. Or it may be dying and expelling itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s zooxanthellae, usualy brown. You should do some water changes and add some fresh activated carbon, even if itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s just a spawn and it is not dying. My anemones spawn all the time.

never mind the tenticles arnt steaming its the mouth and its doing it every couple of seconds but it has white stuff coming out of its mouth

but i just got it yesterday so do anenomes usually spawn after one day


it looks like its throwing up

I would keep an eye on it for a while. What species do you have?

They sometimes will spawn when stressed or rough handled. It may be stress from the move to your tank .

When you say white stuff, are you referring to the smoke or is this a white stringy substance? Also is the mouth gaping open wide?

yeah the mouth is wide open and stringy stuff is out
and i dont now what species i have where would i find that out
