i have a electric green carpet anemone with a pair of black clownfish in a 300 gallon tank with metal halides i was wondering is LIVE mysid shrimp suitable for feeding it it's a question because the wetweb media answer for it was to have food less then 1/4 of an inch but the shrimp in http://www.reed-mariculture.com/mysidshrimp/ said it was 8-12 mm and calculated to inches it is more than 1/4 of an inch so should i feed it with mysid shrimp or what and would juvi mysids be smaller than 1/4 of and inch and if to substititute would amphipods or copepods or rotifers be appropriate and all those are LIVE culture that i culture MYSELF :)

Don't worry about it. He'll be fine. 1/4" is a great place to start to ensure that he's eating well. In nature they eat whatever is near them.

I'm sure that others will have more input (I don't keep carpets of any type) but I always thought that carpets prefer fish flesh.

anything meaty that it will except, the meatier the better. silver slides (cut into 4 pieces) feed 1 piece, krill, etc

My anemone gets a piece of silverslides every 3 days and mysis or marine cusine once inbetween those days, plus my maroon spits food at her.

I don't know if it helps, but I feed mine chuncks of what ever I happen to seee at the seafood counter, shrimp, scallops, squid, whatever.

I just rip off a piece an put it on him and he gobbles it up. I have given him as much as 1/2 of a medium shrimp.
