I went yesterday to lfs (unnamed) on 59 to get a di cart. installed it and ran 7-8 gallons through it to find my tds is worse coming out than going in tds in 36 out 94 :mad2:. Cart is a coralife but has to be bad and lfs wont return it.


Anyone in joliet/plainfield have one I can buy until I can order some in tuesday?

What kind of water do you use out there? Our RO system is low single digits coming out and we don't even use DI.

its city water with 300+ tds out of tap after the membrane its still 48 tds so way to high to use, plus I am already am fighting a macro problem in the tank from p04

Can you test your meter on a reliable water source to confirm accurate calibration? LFS?

It sounds as if your membrane may also be shot. (or your TDS meter) Even if its a 100 gpd that only removes 90%. If its a 75 (or less) it should be removing 98% which would be much lower than 48 TDS.

I agree wit ED, I would check your TDS meter against another, or atleast calibrate it with some distilled.

I have a extra cartridge that has speed lock fittings for 1/4 tubing.

Its new. I got it free by a Air Water and Ice. They sent it by mistake. It doesn't fit my system.

Your welcome to have it for free but I to would double check your TDS meter.
