hello i would like to know if it ok to switch my brand andt type of salt while i have animals in the tank. i recently used a type of salt in where coral would not be able to live. now i am moving on to Red Sea coral pro salt. i would like to know if this is possible while having fish in my tank. if not is there any way possible for me to switch salts saftely.

thanks:

You should be fine. I'd just start out with some small 5% water changes or so, but even that level of caution is pretty conservative.

I'd agree with Bertoni...you'd be fine to switch. I am curious, though, nemo....what kind of salt was it that you've used in which "coral wouldn't be able to live"?

I'd like to know a little more about this too. Sounds like something else is going on with water chemistry, not the salt.
