I just recieved a bulbble tip anemone form Liveaquaria. I was acclimating it in the sump with the lights out and after some time, the bag must have tiped over and the anemone crawled out. Now I have an awesome anemone that I have been waiting for over six months to get and I don't know how to get him out of my sump with out hurting him. It is stuck to the glass and apperas to be very happy, but I am not. If anyone knows how to get him off of the glass with out hurting him please tell me.

PLEASE HELP ME,

Thanks Mike

Hold an ice cube on the outside of the sump where he's at and that will get moving and gently, very gently peel him off, re-bag him and move him unto your tank. The re-bagging is to keep him in water...

Good luck

Thanks a lot. I have a 90 gallon tank with 2x 250 watt metal halides. Where in the tank should I put him and how should I acclimate him to the lighting?

Thanks again,
Mike

great idea on the ice, i thought corals can be out of water(low tide) for small amounts of time, i only say this cause when i do water changes i leave a few of my corals out of water for up to 3-4 minutes

Direct flow may help. Just enough to get him to move.Placeing a frag next to him to attach to. MB even rubber band a piece of shrimp on a rock and place next to him.Be sure its far enough away for him to have to get his foot on the frag to get it.

you can take it out of the water but if the anenome is big enough it could tear itself from its own weight. when i had to move my anenome all i had to do was gently rub its base and it slowly let go with no problems.
