My collection cup has been dropped. I've tried to buy a new one from aqua-c but they do not make or sell this cup anymore. I've tried glue and silicone. All have failed. What should I use.. Here is a picture of the cup. I tried to get all the silicone off but there is a little left on it right now. <a href="http://s278.photobucket.com/albums/kk95/crusing52/?action=view&current=DSCN2730.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk95/crusing52/DSCN2730.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

It is from the ev-200 .......I did try super glue. It didn't hold it very well. It ended up leaking shorty after the patch job.

Isn't there an epoxy specifically for acrylic? Check on the DIY forum, there are acrylic specialists over there. Perhaps a combo of that to fix the crack and a nice finger bead or aquarium silicone and you could be back in business until a new one can be obtained.

My family owns a auto parts store, and you can get a auto parts store a epoxy that is for repairing plastics. I have used it to repair the inlet tube on my remora pro that was supposed to have leaked(told to me by seller)so i sealed around where the tube goes into the main body with it, and it has never leaked. bonded perfectly. I would try that. It is called Perma Poxy by permatex and it is a double sided tube(when you push down both sides puts out a seperate gel that you mix together) and it is a 5min general purpose epoxy. It works on plastics and it gets hard sort of like jbweld, but is clear and looks more like plastic. It worked in my situation.

Tell your other half its impossible to find a replacement and the only way to keep your tank running is to get a BK! :D

Weldon for acrylic will fix it up just fine.

Get some weldon #16 if you aren't use to working with acrylic. It is a bit thicker and will help fill in any small gaps.
