Henry has the best color on his Red Planet

What does he have them under?
I have mine under 250w metal halides on a frag rack in the upper third of the tank. It has good color but what does great look like?

Henry's RP's (he has two colonies) are now under LED's.
They're in a transition phase from other lighting, so they MIGHT not hold their current color... but I believe they will because he's had fantastic color on RP in the past.
The color is (to my eyes- which have been tested excellent for color rendition) hot pink with a green background.

I would think that after 6 months under LED's any color shift will be complete and we'll have our answer whether or not this color will hold.

I was impressed with what I saw. I'll let Henry explain further details if he chooses.

Henry will need to chime in here.... I don't want to give false info.

I must say that the blue LED's (alone) were blinding....they hurt my eyes at first glance.

Thanks for the props Gary!!! I'm running 2 119 watt led fixtures. 20k version(bulb ratio 3 blues to 1 white). I was running 2x175 watt 15k xm bulbs and 2 T-5 actinic blues and the color was moslty green with a little red or as Gary see's it hot pink. About after a month and a half of running the leds it started turning colors. Now the colony on my overflow is exploding with growth. The other colony which is about 6in from the bottom of my tank has more green in it but the red or hot pink is very prevelant. Here's a couple of pics as to what im talking about.

My cameara skills aren't the greatest but you get the jist of it..

Yup, LEDs are awesome. Just playing with my 72w DIY CREE with 60* at work is showing how much SPS love the intensity. The monti directly under them has never had such amazing polyp extension.
