Herbie system question

Hi everyone, I am currently researching the herbie drain system. I am starting a 150 gallon reef ready tank. The tank is drilled through the bottom in the back corners of the tank with the overfow weirs installed. My question to you all here is, can the full siphon drain be in 1 corner and the emergency drain be in the opposite corner? I have another post up here discussing drain and plumbing options and it looks like Herbie is the way I want to go. I want to have a return in each corner as well. Is this possible?

The pump I plan on using a DC return pump. Most likely the Jebao 12000 as I want to run a manifold to run reactors etc as well and only want 1 pump.

Thanks everyone!!!

Personally I would patch the holes and drill the back of the tank for a coast to coast overflow box. Your idea is possible but very tricky to achieve. The trick is getting the height of the emergency drain just right, usually just slightly above bottom of the wier slots. You need the emergency drain to be low enough to pull in some water so the overflow box it is sitting in does not get stagnate but not so much as to start making noise. It will likely take several attempts playing around with the emergency drain height and the full siphon gate valve to dial it in.
