Herbivorous Fish

I wanted to know if you guys can recommend an herbivorous fish that is considered a "reef safe fish."
I have a 36"Lx20"Wx20"H (60g) mixed reef tank.

Any suggestions?

I'd start with some clowns, firefish, and possibly some gobies for that size tank. Definitely stay away from tangs and anything that isn't rated for your size tank. I have my livestock in a 55g QT right now, and you can definitely tell the fish that were meant for bigger tanks. Even though they are only 3-4 inches right now, they are still antsy and there is some aggression...

Do you have any current livestock right now? Do you have a QT? If not, I'd strongly suggest it.

I have 2 clowns (1 true perc and 1 occelaris), 1 blue devil damsel, 3 chromis, 1 bangaii cardinal, 1 (lazy) lawnmower blenny, and 1 tiger watchman goby

I know my tank is too small for tangs (but I want one soooo bad!!! lol)

I used to have a firefish, but he's MIA. Never found the body. I have a variety of snails and a blue tuxedo urchin.

I really wanted an herbivorous fish. I wish I could get a tang or rabbitfish, but my tank isn't big enough

Ever thought of a dwarf angelfish? They are listed as "with caution", but, you may be alright... Check them out...

Lawnmower blenny, phalaena goby.latter even eats cyano. Blenny will eat algae until IT almost explodes, both are reefsafe and keepable in small Tanks like your 60 gallon.

I have both,, they do great Jobs, one for the Sand one for glass and Rocks.

Yea I've considered them, but I've read that once they're adults, they'll nip at corals. I don't want it to eat my zoos or my fleshy favia.

I have a lawnmower blenny, but I think he's lazy lol. I see him pick at the glass every so often though.
I will definitely have to look into that phalaena goby! Thanks

After work, I decided to check out the Petco that was just a couple blocks away- "just to see what they have." Lo and behold, they had the phalaena goby you mentioned! So after reading up a little bit about them, I decided to purchase the fish! Hopefully he will eat the filamentous algae as liveaquaria claims!

It's also known as a Sleeper Banded goby.

After hearing some good experiences with the dwarf angels, I decided to get a bicolor angel. My dad also bought me my favorite- a flame angel.
I introduced them at the same time to help prevent aggression issues.
