Well, I got out of there with rock covered in xenia and capnella. Nothing too exciting there (Mimi got almost all of the good stuff;)). I had planned on bringing frags to the next meeting, but something went wrong in the rock tank and everythgin started lookign bad. i'm hoping some of it recovers...

Here is the prize from the trip, though.

Bart said the clowns were mated, so they were the first addition to the 120 in terms of fish. I wasn't sure if I had room for the LTA when I saw it for the first time, but it has nestled nicely into the corner. I didn't have any plans for that corner, anyway.

DMBillies-Moriah wanted to see the engineer goby... Here he is at feeding time. This is about 2/3 of him...

Gary,
I'm just used to seeing his nose sticking out of the rocks. Definitely a good pic. I think they are pretty cool, but they just love to bury things and I'm not sure I'm up to the task of having to dig some of my corals back out of the sand bed. Thanks for posting.

I put it all in the tub with the other rocvk I've had going since March (from the 180 purchase). I had a spike after adding the rock and the salinity somehow increased. I have corrected it now, but everything else was looking very bad and started to rot (good thing Mimi got what she did:)). I pulled all of the not so hot looking xenia and capnella off the rocks and threw them in my frag tank (connected to the 125) and the Qt tank. Some of them are starting to look okay again, but most have melted away. I know I should have probably thrown them out, but it is hard for me to give up on coral... My skimmer on the 125 has been going nuts, but nothing seems to be adversely affected in the display. The stuff remaining on the rocks is starting to look better, too. The urchin I had in the rock tubs is dropping spines... I hope he starts to recover now that I've got it stabilized again.

I had planned on moving the rocks with stuff on them to one of the tanks, but got tied up with work and didn't get a chance to spend any more time on it until three days had passed. It kills me... I hate losing corals, even if it is just xenia and capnella... There are some cool zoas, too, and they are doing good again. They will be added to the general population tonight or tomorrow.

Mimi,

I haven't seen your tank since we moved it. Any new pics? I bet it is filling in nicely.
