Most C tinkeri's will eat everything BUT they are usually the first fish to get ick. You should treat the fish for everything in quarintine before adding to your tank.

That's a beautiful fish and I was looking into getting one myself last year. But after waiting for one I got sidetracked into other fishes and will have to wait till my next upgrade before getting one. Just out of curiosity why you went for a 5" instead of say 3" one?

Will be tagging along on this thrd to learn more on this fish.

Hey Tim, the Roa subgenus that the Tinker's is part of is the most bulletproof of butterflies. Watch what John said though too, and be sure to put them through QT and fatten them up. These guys take QT well and will be like a puppy dog within days...

A gorgeous fish that is pearly white... tough to capture in a photo...

Here's a shot of my guy when I got him last year... he was about 2 inches... rare for a Tinker's... he's growing steadily...
