Love the clarity of the tank and lighting. This was with my normal lense on the camera.

First it was nice racks, now you have nice cans too ... man how lucky can a guy get ??? sheeeshhhhhh !!!! :D :D

Ha,ha,ha

Quick question. This is the first time I plan on using epoxy to glue sps's to the rocks. But at the same time I'm confused? Everyone states we have to find the ideal spot for the coral. So do we leave them there not glued and if they do good then we glue? There are some vertical positions on the some rocks that won't allow me to place a SPS without glue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Glue and epoxy won't prevent you from moving the corals as it will detach from the rock fairly easily, just not easily enough for your other critters to detach them for you. Lookin good BTW.

Jason,

Mix up your epoxy, add a little super glue gel on the epoxy to attach it to the base of the frag plug, now add a little more glue gel to the epoxy to attach it to the rock work, this method will cure quicker and enable you to attach corals to the rock works easily. If you need to move them latter, just use a screw driver and pry them away from the rock.

The tank is looking great. I have cans too but yours are so much nicer than mine :)

Ha,ha,ha :)

Tom, thanks for the tip.

Having problems firing the Radium bulbs? I noticed I have to either unscrew then rescrew them in for them to fire up? Is there some kind of trick to this? Never had this happen before, usually you screw a bulb in and it fires up every time. Please help, thanks!

The Radiums are designed to run on M80(HQI) ballasts or electronics. If you've got M58's, you're destined to have problems with the Radiums.

Jeff and Jeremy,

I'm using Hamilton's but I can't tell if their M58's or not. They do fire them up but you have to screw around with the bulb? Even if they were M58's would they fire them up? Just trying to figure this out. If this is the case I guess I'll have to sell both pairs of hamiltons 400 watts and 250 watts, for some ice caps.

Thanks

Any other suggestions please drop some knowledge.

I think hamy is M58, you are better off getting the icecap. Keep an eye out, there are lots of people dumping the 250 icecap for cheap

Where did you find that! ha,ha,ha Oh, thanks for the frag too :)

***If anyone see's any 250 icecaps please contact me***

All the corals are in there now! Damn, I'm tired. I starting to notice some corals being ****ed ooff where their at, I'll let one more day go by the switch it up. I still have to get some super glue at the 99 cent store and get ready on finding semi-permanent spots.

Jeff or anyone who can answer this. Where's the best place to get an electrical solenoid for the ro/di filter? I'm about 60% done, still need to figure out te power heads and the refugium etc....

Looks like it's already time to upgrade!

Lookin good so far Jason. Look forward to the progress shots.

Thanks Clay and Jeremy. I never kept SPS's before and I'm doing pretty good with some but not with all. I had a GREAT superman monti which grew 3 to 4 times the size when I got it. But out of now where it started receding in the middle of the colony. Now I fragged what ever I could save and its brown with red polyps. I hope everything goes according to plan since this is a big project for me. Thanks

Just finished putting the wires and setting up the reefkeeper 1 on the tank itself (controlling the lights and powerheads). I'm using my reefkeeper 2 on my sump controlling the external pump, ph, temp, heaters, refugium pump, chiller etc...

I noticed I only have 30x flow in my tank (two 620 seio, two koralia 600, and the external pushing 1200 with a 4 feet head so I'll say 1000 GPH. Its actully 3440 GPH total). Is that sufficient enough? I do have other seio's that I can use but their monsters acutally the 1500 isn't that bad but the M2600 is way too much! Any suggestions?
