Hermit Harrassment of Trumpet

I have a new trumpet coral - put in the tank on Friday last week.
I've bumped him around a tiny bit (not too bad) and moved him once to a more permanent location in higher light.

He doesn't seem to be happy.

How much is due to this silly hermit? (see him on the lower right, he usually sits on top of that branch - on the polyp, but avoids the ones on the right).

How much is just cause he is mad by being moved / shipped?

Water params
Salinity = 1.025
Alk = 8
Ca = 360
Temp=78f
ph (been a while since read) = 8.2 - 8.4
Nitrate < 5ppm
Ammonia / Nitrite = 0

Tank is ~4 weeks old, likely a contributing factor.
Is this coral a lost cause, donation to someone with a more mature tank?
Or stick with him and see if he pulls through? For how long?

Hermit is not the cause. If it were, only the head that it touches would close.

Imo trumpet corals require a week or so to adjust to a new environment. You should be fine unless you start to see tissue loss or color loss. Just give it time.

Trumpets like light and it looks like you have this one on the bottom.

I'd say move it higher make sure its got decent flow.

Check your Mg (not listed above)
THey're pretty tough I wouldn't give up on one as long as you have some tissue on it. Once they get going they fill out surprisingly fast
