Dardanus megistos. Gets up to about 5 inches. Supposedly it prefers molluscs & will break open shells but also eats fish, worms, jellies, corals, cephalopods, echinoderms, etc. , etc.

damn, its such a beautiful hermit too. I guess i'll take it back tomorrow. this is a relatively retarded question, are there any nice looking hermits that are less likely to kill small fish? other than the micros cause i have blue and whites and two tiny scarlets. thanks

All hermits are opportunistic feeders. The level of opportunity is determined only by their size. The larger they are the more feeding opportunity.

graveyardworm im reffering to anything that are less likely to kill small fish. i have small scarlets, micro white legs and blue legs.

The smallish ones that you have are probably about it. Not to say that a large one will definately kill a fish, just as they get larger so does their appetite and they're ability to capture larger food.
