Well, two of my hermit crabs stopped at different times near the front of the tank and gave me a couple minutes of easy photography, I just couldnt pass up the chance I'm still amazed what the lens can capture that the naked eye cant see.
I too like the 4th one the best. For that I aimed my flash sideways and slightly forward and held up a white envelope that the flash bounced off and slightly up (the was the hope anyway) as I wanted to get some light up into the shell. I didnt get quite as much light up into there as I wanted, but he started moving away so that was the best I got
I just realized I cant aim my flash downwards without aiming the whole camera down. It's about time for me to get a remote flash setup
Thats fantastic, they always say to be sure to catch the light in the eyes for portraits...pretty sure they never thought about applying that rule to hermit crabs!
