Hi I posted this in the new section and only got one reply.e
I got some marshal island hermits from reefermadness,i think they are also called blue knuckle.I had some problems with fungus on some new zoos i got and they cleaned off the dead ones but now It appears to me that these guys are eating my zoanthids.Im not sure if they got a taste for them or what.Has anyone else had this problem with them? When i say eating i dont mean going through and picking at algae i mean that i see them hanging on certain zoos and in the mornign some will be gone it took about a week and one rock was cleaned off.i kept thinking maybe they wre just dying but I actually took the rock out for a week to see if maybe they were dying as there were only 3 left,i put it back in and the next day they were all gone.I also have cortez and blue leg hermits but dont see them on the zoos that much.
I finally just put them in my sump after i noticed half of my fire and ice colony was gone.I dont want to get rid of these guys. I really like them.I also have emrald and porcelain crabs, neither of which i ever see buy the zoos but there in there, and also a pistol shrimp which i never see but hear
any input much appreciated.
thanks

also ive seen my yellow tang picking but wasnt sure if he was picking the rock or the zoas. if i notice anymore come up missing he's next

I bought a small frag of blue zoas only to have my blue-legged hermit crab eat them all within a few days. I have many different zoa colonies that have never been bothered, so I figure the "new" zoas were diseased and dying and thats why the hermit ate them.

Some inverts do... I have all those in my 100 and they dont eat them.. as long as they have enough excess food to eat then they won't go after new food ' ZOOS".

as for toxins... zoo toxin aint as bad as toxins from PALYTHOAS. which you do defenitely worry about.

I've fragged lots of zoos and palys.. worst was palys gave me a bad headache for 10-20 mins..
