Hermits or no hermits in sps tank

So it seems the concensus is hermits are sps safe. So now I ask red legged or blue legged, anyone have an opinion?

Or better yet, maybe someone could give me some advice on the cleaner package that was recomended for my tank. Tank they would be going in is a 240g with approx. 200lbs of rock and an ssb. The tank will house mainly sps.

100 Lg nassarius snails

100 tropical turbos

100 red leg hermits

6 emerald crabs

3 conchs

2 sand sifting stars

I am owned by several bengals and I would never go to another breed of cat again! Anyone interested in reading more about them can visit my site, www.bahiyabengals.com.

My saltwater tank is merely for their entertainment :-) Sorry, now back to the question at hand....I have not had a problem with my tuxedo urchin or my hermit crabs with my SPS. Although my corals are all glued down.

I wish hermits would eat byropsis ..... I have found crabs to be evil most times eating my snails. I no longer have any besides acro crabs.

JMO

Most do, especially scarlets and electric blues

They reef safe,, but once your tank gets " Free" of there diets they will eat your snails.. I wont put any more in my reef because of that. Foxface ate bryopsis last time i had it..... keeping PH up helped too. Bryopsis likes lower PH water ..

IMO <- so dont jump down my throat. I think that people have to many of these animals in their tanks. if the tank cannot support them, of course they will start to eat eachother. Personally I have 3 mex, 3 red, 3 blue, 2 srtiped hermits and 3 turbo, 3 astria. in my 250 gal and they do their job and nobody gets eaten because their tankmates are starveing to death. sometimes I hear people say "I just cant keep more than ten snails in my 55 gal, everytime I buy more they die untill I only have 10 again" well, think about it before you buy more.

Every once in a while I have a hermit setup a home in an SPS, usually an acro or stylo and will spend a couple of days just hanging out in it. Scared me at first and I would remove them ASAP, but I've not been able to detect any damage and now I just leave them be. They get bored in a couple of days and move on.
