Hermits vs Snails in "The Package"

Recently acquired a 180g, so I will be upgrading to that from my 125g.

I see the package, comes with blue leg hermits, a LOT of them. For years, I kept hermits, but always found they eventually kill off all my snails, even if I provided them with plenty of empty shells to use.

Do your customers have this problem too? I mean the hermits out populate the snails 2 to 1. Seems like a buffet of sorts for the hermits to me.

The hermits I supply with the package are small...I know it sounds like a lot, but 500 will fit in the palm of your hand. I also send extra shells for them so they have homes as they grow. Typically they are about 1/4-3/8 of an inch and in a small black shell when you get them.

They are great clean up guys and being that small can get every where to mow.
