Finally got the sump I got from you set up. Took me freaking 4 hours to make the transition.

Dan, no its not. Its a Pacific Coast Imports RPS 2000. It has a 6" cylinder body and is 26 1/2" high. Its a fairly new skimmer that came out recently and have been getting good reviews. As you can see by the skimmate it produced, its been performing well. But the price is cheaper than a Euro Reef and ASM with the same rating. The one I have is rated for up to a 185G tank.

Hey Russ, didnt you have a refugium in that spot before? Did you take it out? or never have one?
Thanks, Chris

What is the cylinder on the left of the tank? That skimmer works much better than my EV-180 but I don't have that space to work with.

Murf, I thought the EV-180 was one of the best. Not true?

its good, just real sensitive

I'm using a big one that I got used from Trey (Billy Bob's Skimmer Company or something) that seems to work fairly well. The bubbles aren't super tiny or all that dense, but I consistently get pretty good skimmate.

you got a liter of skimmate in 6 hours? what did you do, pour gravy in the tank? :) that is some seroius skimming.

:D

Recirculating skimmers is the bomb!

Not gravy. It's root beer.

Or could you just have a lot of crud that accumulated with your old skimmer?

What did you do with the old one anyway?

really cool deuce.

i just found out remora makes a nano skimmer so my 24 doesnt have to be skimmerless now!

Russ, new sump looks great!!! I'll be back on the 31st so maybe we'll just look at a clone of that skimmer, that's some great skimmate!!! Screw a BK huh? :)
