I have been noticing my green palys acting strange, also there were many small white dots on them. A few days later (tonight) the small white dots turned into large yellow egg sacs. The Palys are also starting to bleach out because of them. I dissected one of the yellow ball shaped little bastards and found some really nasty little clear worms...maybe nematodes. I have attached two microscope pics: the first at 40X and the second at 100X. the other pic clearly shows the damage. If anyone knows anything about these please let me know.

oh noo

oh noo

Ugh, they do look like nematodes. They give me the shivers. I think I've seen them somewhere before; oh yeah, my tank on my buttons.....:furious:

cant take the rock out it is supporting a lot of rock
is there an alternative to dipping? Those palys are the least valuable of my collection and nothing else seems to be affected.

try to find out whats making them close first before adding more stress. It could be as simple as just moving a brain or something that has sweepers. I watched a whole colony close from 1 sweeper touching a few polyps. bristle worms always make them close too along with cyanobacteria.
