What would you reccomend for lights on my 220? What I have now are the 2-400W mh, 2-65w power compacts and 2 attinic strips. I want to get rid of my metal halides because there running my eletric out the roof. Thanks

that's a tough one. a 220 is a deep tank so it really needs lots of light. You could use t5's but in the end the electrical savings is going to be very little. maybe drop the 400s to 250s just keep your sps directly below the halides.

Well that sucks. I was hoping to get away from those halides. They work great but I wanted to see if if would be cheaper to run with the t5's. but if its only going to be a couple of bucks cheaper to run then to hell with it. like you said, the tank is deep. almost 28" from the top of the tank to the crushed coral. Oh well. Saves me the money I would had to use to buy the t5s. lol.
