I'm new to the area and wanted to check out if there were any local frag swaps or anything like that?

yup there is, our local club host a large frag swap twice a year (you just missed the first one) and also a frag auction every month at the end of the meeting.
Also one of our local stores "Reeflife" has a weekly event in which they sell frags by the inch out of wild colonies, have not been there but I hear is very nice.

Buddy Reeflife does frag every wednesday night - Pat is doing a great job and he will not steer u wrong. Great deals to be had.
