i have had my octo for one day now.
i am not sure of the species.
he has a very noticable blue spot on his side right under the mantle.
he has not ate since i brought him home.
when i was at the LFS. he ate 4 small feeder fish and a 1 inch cube of bloodworms so i know he was healthy.
my water tests. 1.025 salinity 76degrees F 8.2Ph Nitrites 0 Nitrates 10ppm and Amonia 0. He stays in the live rock i put in , but just about an hour ago he just went crazy he was jetting around the tank grabbing anything he could. i put a small feeder in there for him and i cant find it now. He ate it i hope. He wouldnt eat the squid or bloodworms i tried to feed him earlier. I noticed him putting his tentacles down in the empty hermit crab shells so i put in a small hermit from my 55 reef. He hasnt ate it yet but i just turned out the lights so maybe he will eat it.
Seriously do i have anything to worry about.
Does anyone know what kind i may have.
The LFS called it a brown ocotpus.
The LFS said it came from his california coast shipment if that helps.
Any replies will be appreciated.
P.S. He is the only inhabitant in this 29 gallon aquarium.
Thanks
