Hi all,

I said Hi in Newb forum but I thought I'd say Hi down here too.

My name is Sam (Samantha) and I live in Fort Collins. While I don't have any SW tanks right now, I would like to get one in the future at some point. After reading through a few threads in the Reef Discussion forum though I have a healthy respect of the complexity involved and am waiting to get one when I have the money and research under my belt to get a big tank (75-100gal) and do it right.

So anyways, Hi everyone!

Sam,

welcome to Reefcentral and Rocky Mountain Reef Club. There is a local chapter for you as well. It is not crucial to have a tank, just a willingness and interest in the hobby. Please join in and you are privileged to have some really nice tanks in your neck of the woods.

Thanks everybody,

Yeah, I'm hoping to make it to the meeting in Windsor that's posted up top... Just to see what it's like and check things out. =D

I have tanks, just no SW ones right now. ^.~ One 18g freshwater planted, a 29g for my Transpecos Rat Snake (which I should upgrade soon, he's getting big... if anyone has a not-suitable-for-fish-anymore...leaking or something tank they'd like to sell that's about 55-75 gallons I'll take it =D), a 20h for my corn snake, and a 20L for my leopard gecko. Another reason why I'm not getting a reef tank right now... husband thinks I have too many animals to take care of as it is. ^^

Welcome, from one newb to another. I just bought a 125gal and 600w hood in here, still waiting to piece the rest together. Be patient, lots for sale.

Welcome! I have a 55G that I bought to use as a refugium only to discover that it is tempered all around. I was going to clean it up and then offer it for sale anyway. I know it's in decent shape because I filled it and found no leaks. Let me know if you'd like to have a look and I'll take some pictures and clean it up first if you need it minutely inspected for scratches and such. :-)

PM me if you'd like to chat about it!

Welcome to RMRC!!

I understand your desire to take your time and learn about this addiction before jumping in. I am trying to set a record for taking the longest amount of time to get a tank set up, May will be 2 years of planning and purchasing and I still have no water in the tank :)

Welcome :) I am in Ft Collins, too. Let me know if you want to come over and look at our tanks, I am always up for talking fish!

Ooh, Clown-N-Around, I would love to come see your tanks. ^_^ Lemme know when/where is good for you. I'm over by Hughes Stadium.

Rogue Monk, YGPM. ^__^
