I located a couple of Tunze 6000 units from a local pet shop.

How can I be sure that I'm getting the latest model design. Is there a number on the box or a reference. I just read that you did some upgrades on it in the past few months. I just dont want to spend $500 for units that is are not up to date.

The store is far enough away that I cannot see the package myself without traveling an hour and a half..

Basically, if the pump is black in color it has any new features except possibly the new drive unit. The new drive unit is indicated by a paper in the box that says, Attention- NEW Drive Unit! with a picture and it is in 3 languages. The new drive unit is nice but was mainly done to accelerate production and it is interchangable with the old one and is a minor difference.
