crap... okay so i got home from school today. and my tank was missing about a gallon and a half of water... i guess my skimmer decided to leak a bit. but i was adding water to the tank and i remembered i needed to add salt, i had already added the water so i just poured the salt into the tank and it got on a few of my corals... (should have thought this through) it got on my duncans, a couple zoas, my big brain coral, bubble coral, a little bit on my frogspawn, and on my maroon monti. which is already like turning white. :(. is it gonna die? and what about my other corals? the duncans and bubble coral just closed up. and the duncans are putting off a lot of slime. the frogspawn seems to already be opening back up and i think it will be fine though.

Why don't u turkey baste the granulars off the corals. Get more flow where the salt settled so It disolves.

When you add fresh water the salinity, alk, PH, mag, calcium lowered and when you added salt your PH went off the roof and thus, shocked all your corals. What you should have done was to mixed the fresh water and the salt outside of the tank, bring it to temperature before adding it.

The duncan and monti aren't looking too good. I did baste the salt off right away, but the dincans were still secreting mucus when i got home today, the monti looks about the same as it did yesterday, i hope that they'll recover. everyhting else seems to be doing fine.
