This picture was from a long time ago, but wanted to show some of the corals i had before my tank had a major breakdown. i went to LA for a week to visit family, and left my siblings in charge of the tank. They didn't do ANYTHING for the tank and a lot of stuff died. you can see a couple corals that did actually survive though, like my acans, gsp, frogspawn, neon green birdsnest and a bunch of zoas. but i was really mad after that happened. i lost a lot of cool frags. :(. Also was wondering, i'm not sure how i got the colors to look so normal... but i really like how it looks, my pictures seem to be really blued when i try to use the evaluate white balance thing on my camera. I wish i could have gone to the meeting about cameras. hahaha.

lol, i looked at the date stamp, and i guess it really wasn't that long ago. It feels like a really long time ago though, haha.

And then, a bit off topic, but since we were talking about it. i decided to take a couple pictures of raynor. i haven't taken pics in a while. and he wouldn't hold still so they're not the best. he's somewhere between 4-5 feet. i've never actually measured him but since he's been eating medium/large rats he's been getting fatter, and growing very quickly.

Just for kinda a scale on his size, my beds about six foot, and his tails pretty close to the bottom of the bed, and he's only about 1 and a half foot or so from the top.

haha, i love how my clowns use the brain coral as their "bed". it's so cute. where do your clowns usually sleep in your tank? (if you have clowns)

Once mine started eating large rats, i switched to guinea pigs. I had rats get away and run through the house. After guinea pigs she started eating rabbits. She used to snap them out of my hand!

I don't want him to get huge so i'll probably keep him on large rats for a while. and hopefully no bigger than xl rats. But back on topic, lol. What do you guys think of my tank?

I need to get a little tripod for my camera, i just realized how blurry all my pics were. It looked like all the pics were focused ok. maybe it's because the camera screen is so small.

I did find out how to use the macro function finally. Before i was just manually focusing the pictures, which is why i think they were off. Took a bunch of pics today and they look much better.

Post 'em!

Manual focus in general is a good idea. It allows you to place the focal plane exactly where YOU want it, not where the camera has decided it should be. Plus many autofocus mechanisms get confused by the front of the tank and often don't find or stay locked in on what it is you're trying to shot.
