And welcome to Reef Central and the MARS forum! I believe Photon would be the one to arrange membership through but someone can please correct me if Im wrong. The 25 dollar membership fee will save you hundreds upon hundreds of dollars in this hobby. Youll be able to not only get all of your questions answered but gain invaluable experience not to mention a friend or two, or three, or..:hmm: Great meetings,guest speaker, fun raffles, swaps, conventions(once in a blue moon?) mixn and mingling, good stuff

wow! sounds cool! Do I get any discounts on supplies from certain stores? If I become a member and attend meetings and stuff? And do any members live in Dixon? Also , is it true that you had a swap in dixon someone on another forum told me you did?

Yes, membership does include a discount to some stores. Meetings are a great place to make friends, hear awesome speakers, and maybe win some cool stuff in the raffles. Unfortunately you and I just missed the last frag swap. In the past they have been in Dixon at a member's home.

Just a word on etiquette. Most newbies come into the forums looking for free stuff, sometimes there's free stuff, but try not to be a leecher. This a community, where if you actively participate and contribute to, you will reap great rewards.

You dont even have to have a tank, just an interest to help promote the hobby and the critters we love whether its corals, fish, or an insatiable interest in copepods

Im setting up a 100gal aggressive soon also gonna be a FOWLR. I like FOWLRs because I like angels. Also thanks for the info!
