Hiding my electronics

Switched to a sfiligoi 72in light and did not realize how many wires there were..... Not to mention 4 ballast! So I had to figure out how to hide everything here is a pic of what I did.

Looks great. I love the fact that you can also sit on it, place things on while working on the tank, completely hides your wiring and everything is compartmentalized and easily accessible. Love it.

Thank you it worked out great

I also have been considering hiding my electronics in a side area of my tank. I as well, considered it may be ideal to make it a bench so it has a design purpose that one might overlook that it is an essential part to controlling the tank it sits beside.

I am waiting to find out about the items coming out of MACNA to see what changes to my electronics I might be making before I start fabricating or finding the right item to hide my stuff in. Thanks for the inspiration though, The setup looks very nice and who can complain about a place they can be lazy

Is that a prefabricated item or did you make it yourself? Any advice on finding the right item to hide the electronics would be appreciated, you did a nice job. Can you post better lit pictures? or is it just dark because of the inside being black?

Yes the inside is black I will see if I can get a better pic. It's very hard to take pics in my fish room. The only real lighting is the fish tank lighting.

I would maybe put a light on a door switch for that area, this way you always have light when that seat is lifted. I do that type of thing in my tank stand and it's so convenient. It can be dont with or without an aquarium controller.

Interesting idea....when I am in the fish room it's not hard to see just sucks for pics.

It cost me all of $30 for me to get that, but then again, I needed two sets of lights since I have two areas of my tank stand to illuminate.

I am definitely inspired by your project, i just got in my dremel today and plan to work on some DIY projects this weekend
