High DKH and low calcium with kalk?

I currently have a dkh of around 11.8 and a calcium level floating around 400 while dosing kalk? What are some solutions here?

Yes I'm using it to maintain ... I just started a week ago with good results so far as far as the corals go ... My mag is 1380

Every coral looks better than it has in the past but I'd like the dkh to be closer to nine and calcium closer to 450

problem solved... it wasn't as far off as i assumed i used the salifert standard check bottle and it was off by 2.9 dkh on my test on the high side so once i subtract the numbers i was getting then i'm right in range of where i want to be

Kalk will supplement KH and Ca in equal amounts, so if you want to change the ratio of KH and Ca, you need to supplement one or the other. Cut back on your kalk until the KH drops, and dose some calcium chloride to boost the Ca. Once both are where you want them, stop the calcium chloride dosing and continue dosing kalk to maintain KH and Ca.

The plan is to reduce the kalk amount to let it fall slowly while maintaining calcium with the calcium from some two part i have

I use Randy's home made two part to maintain my calcium and alk.
Works well for me.
Do a search and you will find it.
Good luck with the tank
