high-flow tolerant sand recommendation please

Hi All,

I'm in the process of setting up a nicely plumbed 29 gallon tank that will have a closed loop as well as an internal overflow. It's an sps-dominated tank, and it'll have lots of flow. I'm looking for a recommendation for substrate that will look as "white" as possible, allow me to keep some sandbed creatures, and withstand the current in the tank. I would rather not go the crushed coral route, if possible.

Thanks,
Steve

At the same time you may find that you will have some shiffting of the sand at the start but over time it will settle into it's natural state and look more like a sea bed. IMO
At least that's what mine did. It took it about a day and a half.

Ok, thanks guys. I might use some eggcrate on the bottom and then fill it in with some crushed coral where it'd be visible. I'll just siphon the crushed coral at each water change to reduce detritus buildup. I think that should work out all right.
