High kh

Anyone know how to drop kh? I'm at 18kh.. my temp is 78°, my ph is at 8.14 and salinity 1.025. My ORP is at 44, but i haven't cleaned the probe yet (might need cleaning)
Thanks

Is the tank stocked with fish and/or coral?

Try a manual Kh test kit to confirm the reading.

You can drop it by doing a significant water change with a salt that mixes to a lower Kh value. The danger is dropping too fast too quickly can harm the coral.

I did a complete water change in my sump... everything seems fine except for the apex readings.... maybe the probes dried out and there's junk on them?possible? The alk is still at 18 and ORP extremely low... I have the skimmer on full and a little carbon be for the return pump

Slow down...
What salt mix are you using? (and along with that what is the kh of your freshly mixed saltwater)
Have you been dosing any chemicals to increase alk?
How about dosing any chemicals to increase PH?
Are you sure this isn't testing error?
How did your alk get so high?

muriatic acid is used to lower alk BUT... You need to ensure you are really needing to add it..
I'm skeptical as you are a new user and have provided little information and I don't want you just blindly adding acid to your tank...

Just a guess, but I would bet the OP has been trying to increase his PH and has been dosing buffer.

That was one of my first thoughts too.... common mistake..

and to add to the questions..
Whats in the tank? corals?
How long has the tank been setup?

Well...skimming and carbon have nothing to do with KH..so.

I see three good folks helping out, so please answer their questions.
