i have a 90 gallon reef with a bunch of coarls and pc lights
i have 3 percula clowns
three chromis
a hippo tang aproxx 5 inch
and a yellow tang aprox 4 inch
and my nitrates have skyrocketedd to about 50 ppm if not higher and i was wondering how to bring them down because my brain coral is not opening up and my colt which ahas grown lik 5 inches in the past yr iss shriveling upp not dieing but shriveling
i have a refugium, i built it out of my wetdry and i have a total of 50 lbs of live sand and about 185 lbs f live rock .. more if you incluide the rubble. can you pleasse tell me what to do to lower themm......
and let me know if a nitrate this high is the reason the corals are acting deiffrently

you didnt post this enough times,
maybe if you make the same topic 20 more times someone will reply
;) :P lol
jk we all make mistakes

why dont you do a 50 % water change and turkey baster the live rock... (just a suggestion ! ) i mean you sound desperate lol jk :)

When was your last water change? What are the rest of your water parameters look like? Had anything die lately? Are you using RO/DI water for changes? Are you over feeding the tank?

Put chaetomorpha in your fuge, light with a Lights of America light (or similar). Your nitrates will go to zero.

water changes, and a good skimmer.
What type of water are you using? is it RO?
refugium built out of a wetdry? What do you mean?

Unbelievvabal......................

Lets make this thread the one that counts. I assume (though you know what happens when I do that) that you are doing water changes. If not then now is the time to start. Also, do you have any foam or sponge in any of your equipment? If you do either clean it or toss it. Just some ideas. Good luck. :D

I am surprised you aren't kicked out yet. I mean, cmon. Stop posting the same thing over and over again. Just "bump" it up, for crying out loud.
