Cut back on your feeding if you have fish. Check your water that your topping off with.
Water changes can bring it down. Do you have a refugium? That would help. load it up with macro algae.

I had some hair algae problems (high phosphate for sure) and was told that daily skimmer neck cleaning, and keeping up with daily kalk addition, will help precipitate out and remove phosphate (and it seems to be working).

Phosphate media reactors are very simple. If your handy with plumbing, a couple of dollars worth of PVC pipe and fittings and you have a reactor ;)

Welp ima dumb arse.... I forgot that I have my skimmer OFF because of the Cyno treatment..... I will do a water change tonight and retest tomorrow morning.

I do not top off with Kalk yet I just use some Kent Calcium, but I am about to start looking into it... From what I understand it is as simple as adding it to your top off water? I cant wait to move the plumbing to the basement to make this all much easier.

A phosban reactor worked wonders for me, made the hobby much more enjoyable, I haven't had hair algae since! By the way, the reactor is pretty cheap, its the media that goes in it that is expensive!! (I prefer Rowaphos to Phosban)
