High pitch noise from stream

I have a 6000 Steam on a single controller. It's around 3 months old.

It just stopped working - and I'm getting a very high pitch constant sound out of the driver box (the little silver box PN 7240.27).

Can somebody help me out? I paid big bucks for this thing and I'm pretty disturbed about it.

Thanks,
Ron

OK - I can't believe I missed the posts about it being jammed.

But now I have a new issue. I cleaned the pump, turned it back on, it's working again, but now my controller is going nuts. It's switching between power 1 and power 2 very erratically and the pulse setting doesn't seem to change it.

Any help?

Thanks,
Ron

Now the controller seems fine. Arg.

Well, at least I enjoyed talking to myself.

If anybody knows what would have caused that, I'd still like to hear in case it happens again.

well the pump beeing jammed might have cuase the driver and controler to get a bit on the "fried" side so to speak...

glad to hear it was temporary...

thats the noise it makes when jammed. read the stickied thread on cleaning. that will take care of the problem. Basically remove the cover and the propeller. clean in vinegar, scrape out calcification and you are good to go
