High school project

[Laguna kid]

I'm a senior at Laguna beach high school in California and at my school we have a marine ecology class. Currently the class only has a small fresh water tank with gold fish. I want to set up a salt water tank for the class to get a hands on experience with corals, fish and other marine inverts. I was just seeing if any of you here had experiences with setting up tanks for your school or even are generous enough to donate any parts or pieces. I don't have a large budget to spend.

Read up on saltwater tanks. Make sure you know how to care for one keep it small so it can be taken home for breaks. Also invest in an ATO to keep it over the weekend. Check out local reef clubs and craigslist for discounted equipment. Good luck!

Thanks for the move. I didn't quite know where to put it. And I have a tank of my own. It's a 34 gallon that's been set up for almost a year. So yes I am newish but I know what I need to know to run one properly. Craigslist is a good Idea.
