High SG

I just checked my Specific Gravity with my Refractometer and it was 1.032! I think my old plastic tester has seen better days cause it reads 1.027. I double checked the calibration on the refrac. so I'm sure it's spot on. My question is, what problems might I encounter with such a high SG and how fast can I safely lower my tank's level?

Before you do anything, I would definitely consider a refractometer in the future. The swing arm hydrometers are notorious. For ~$30, you can't go wrong.

Thanks. Consider it considered! I use the plastic fantastic swing arm daily cause it's quick. My refract is for precision checks but now that I know how poorly my plastic performs, I'll use the refract more often. I'll still use the swing arm, but adjust my readings.
