I just found out that I have high tds in my RO/DI water as in around 85 i believe . One of my TDS meters reads 85 and the other reads 48 not quite sure which one is right . I just got all new filters and a membrane to switch and hopefully it will fix my problem. I have been having really bad phoshates letely and some nitrate . What are the normal cause of high TDS and do you believe this is a the reason some of my corals have died recently ??

If TDS meters are accurate then yes, I believe this could well be a reason some of your corals have died recently. One cause of high TDS reading on an RO/DI filter is not changing the media/membrane in the filter frequently enough. Good luck.

Well, the filter could have been letting through copper and chlorine, so I agree that just about anything in the tank could have been killed.
