Can you recommend a reliable high water sensor alarm for me.
I bought from Amazon a Boyo brand and it failed within a week.
Earlier and based on some Reef Central advice, I added two ball valves to each overflow in order to raise the tank water enough to silence (as much as possible) the overflows loud and intolerable bubbling/gurgling noise.
The adjustment necessary to get the water just high enough to cover top of the bulkhead slip screen cage but not too high as to have the water come over the top of the aquarium is proving a painstaking affair.
I must close down the ball valves in tiny increments then wait too see if the water raises just enough to silence the overflow cage but not too much.
This takes several minutes up to 30 to level off and I can't sit there and watch the progress to get the safe and effective result.
So I order a high(low) water sensor and it is useless.
Long explanation to ask if anyone can point me to a reliable but not too expensive alarm, based on your personal experience.
Novices make many mistakes and I wished that I would have chosen the Durso overflow....but in the meantime I will try and fix this issue with advice from you.
Thanks in advance.
