High wind damage

I left togo to the hardware store to get some plexi-glass & make baffles and there are trees pulled out of the ground, roof and shingles ripped off. Had to fix a piece of flashing on the siding.

Biggest problem is flickering power messing with my pumps, halides, PC and the rest of my equipment.

Gotta Luv mountain/ lake wind :hmm2: :furious:

Wow. Time to check the roof, too, make sure all the shingles are facing the right way and all the flashings are flat.

Watch that flicker. Maybe shut off the halides for now....they should NOT flicker on and off over a short time span. Not good!

Yeah....winds sucks. Power is usually not a problem here (all underground), but I do have a TON of debris in the yard I gotta deal with.

Yeah I have been meaning to look into getting one;)

Wind has died down some. Luckily no damage here. Maybe a lost shingle i see on the lawn. Its always windy up here.

I need to organize the equipment wires & timers i have now. Its kinda cluttered. Then again there's little i can do to organize it. I have zip tied it, mounted my controllers & timers but still to many leads and wires.

I wanted to add my ATO but that adds more wires and tubing & clutter. How i would Luv a basement filtration setup. One can dream.

We still have pretty dzrn high winds right now - about 2pm. We actually have no power at all - have had the generator running for about 5 hours now. The tanks lights are off - for the reason Tony noted.

Hmm, hope we get some electric before we go to sleep!

Let's see how National Grid does - generally, they have not been as responsive as NiMo

Lakeside you could always encase the wires in conduet (sp?). It wont
completely "hide" the wires but it will make them look less cluttered. You can easly find it at any automotive or home supply store.

Good idea Pug,
The easiest choice would probably be the plastic wire loom, that can be bought at most automotive stores. I know Napa sells it in small lenghts or by the box, which has 50 ft I believe. That will definetly help to hide all the spider web of wires. Actual hard plastic conduit probably wouldnt fit plugs thru them unless you got a larger diameter, which would most likely look mammoth under the stand. ;)
