Higher light level LPS?

I find myself loving lps corals. I have just gone reef, already have 5 LPS and will be getting 7 more this week. This means the mid to lower portions of my tank are going to fill up fast. What LPS can be happy higher up in the tank?

what are the tank dimensions and what kind of lighting do you have?

The tank is a 120g 48 x 24 x 25. I have a diy LED setup with a 3 : 2 blue to white mixture of CREE leds, all on dimmers. The acan, plate, favia, candy cane, and blasto I have in the tank for about 6 weeks are all very very happy. The Candy cane is about 16 inches from the light, while all the rest are 20 plus inches. For flow I have two seas swirls off of my returns, and two 1400 gph Korolina's. So I would classify the tank in general as low to mod flow with one or two areas of high flow.

Most LPS can be acclimated to quite strong light if it's done gradually, so your dimmers may be very handy. But if you have some strong light areas of the tank, you might consider some of the Euphylliad corals like frogspawns, hammers and torches. Lobophyllias and Symphyllias might be good to try as well. Just give them plenty of space.

My blasto's are up really high in my tank and love it! there are a ton of diifernet Blasto's out there, I would stay away from the maretti's since they seem to like the lower light, but my welso's do fine up high.

branching and wall euphelias.goni or alveopora can work just dont shockem.if you have led with dimmers you can put any lps up there.

Agree with the blastos, I have one under 150MH and it loves life. Eats well and grows new heads!

Very toxic, but hydnoporas are pretty and love light!
